Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain the sterile field during surgical procedures.
- Assist surgeons and nurses by providing necessary instruments and supplies.
- Ensure all surgical instruments are accounted for before and after procedures.
- Support patient positioning and monitoring during surgeries.
- Assist in cleaning and sterilizing surgical instruments and equipment.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Participate in inventory management of surgical supplies.
- Adhere to safety protocols and infection control standards.
Requirements:
- Completion of an accredited surgical technology program.
- Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) required.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a surgical setting.
- Strong knowledge of surgical instruments and procedures.
- Strong ophthalmology preferred
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team.
- Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations.
- Commitment to patient safety and quality care.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, Monday - Friday, no call, no weekends.
